First Visit

Your initial appointment will consist of a consultation during which the Doctor can explain your diagnosis and available treatment options. We understand our patient’s busy schedules. As such, we try whenever possible to schedule patients in need of treatment to have your endodontic treatment the same day as your consultation. However, a complex medical history or treatment plan may require  separate evaluation and treatment appointment(s). At the time of booking, we will do our best to offer you a treatment appointment whenever possible. Patients who are schedule a consultation only will generally need return for their endodontic treatment.

Prior to your first visit, we strongly encourage all patients to fill out their patient information online. All data is encrypted and transmitted to our secure server. This will save you time in our office filling out paperwork. Online registration can be done on this website by selecting the Patient Registration tab under the Patient Information menu.

Please assist us in providing efficient care by bringing the following to your first visit:

  • Your referral card.
  • Any X-rays your dentist has provided to you.
  • A list of medications you are presently taking.
  • If you have dental insurance, bring your policy information. This will save you time and allow us to help you process your reimbursement.

X-Rays

If your previous dentist has taken recent x-rays (within 6-months), you may request that they forward them to our office. If there is not enough time, please pick them up and bring them to our office. If additional images are necessary, they will be taken by us.

IMPORTANT: A parent or guardian must accompany all patients under 18 to their appointment.

Please alert the office if you have a medical condition that may be of concern prior to surgery (i.e. diabetes, high blood pressure, artificial heart valves and joints, rheumatic fever, etc.) or if you are on any medication (i.e. heart medications, aspirin, anticoagulant therapy, etc.) or require antibiotics prior to dental cleanings.

We hope that the information provided here answers many of your questions about endodontic treatment. If you would like additional information, please don’t hesitate to contact us at our Thornhill Office: 905-764-3663.
